In August, all gaming eyes are focused on Cologne, Germany. I probably don't need to tell you I am talking about GamesCom, the International gaming event of the year. Here at DumeeGamer.com, we were happy as a kid at Christmas to be invited there.

This year's GamesCom took place from August 14 till 17 (August 13 is a business day only for media and trade visitors). Around 650 exhibitors are present in 6 different halls. Plus 4 halls business area. So yes, it's big!

And busy! So we've got a lot to do, and less time to do it in! Which games should we play? The Evil Within, Dead Island 2 or Assassins Creed Unity, to name just a few of the titles present. Which presentations should we see? At what time did we have an appointment? Where's the bathroom?! Oh well, first things first, Let's first get our bearings on this huge event.

There's something to do and see for everyone on GamesCom. The big names were present, as well as lots of indie gaming companies. Merchandise, Cosplayers, tournaments, contests, Retro games and so on. Almost too much to see and do, but we gave it our best shot.

GamesCom does entail more than just sitting on your behind and joyfully hammering away on a keyboard or controller. For the athletes among us, there was a laser obstacle game and the opportunity to play a game of real life table soccer.

As we've mentioned before, At Gamescom they are all there, from the small indie developer to the biggest publishers. We had the honor of playing some upcoming titles. You can read all about these games in the Magic Mirror of Preview:
