First, there was a Red Game Without A Great Name and now there's The Green Game. Don't you just love it when things are as simple as that? I must admit that I didn't play the Red Game, but that didn't stop me to try its successor. So let's take a look at the Green Game!

The Green Game: Timeswapper, as it is officially named, is a puzzle game. The game starts with a short video that shows you how a mad scientist brings a sort of skeleton bird to life. It's alive… ALIVE! Mwoohaha! Oh, I'm sorry. I let myself go there for a second, but I'm okay now...

So back to the living skeleton bird, which look kind of cute, considering it's a skeleton. Anyway, each level starts with the living, skeleton, cute looking bird, sitting in its cage. By pushing the thumb stick to the right (I played this game with an Xbox controller) I opened the cage and the birds starts flying straight forward.

The goal of the game is to get your bird safely to another cage at the right side of the level. And if you really want to do a good job, you not only have to guide your bird to the other cage, but you also manage to collect the three golden coins that strewn about each level. The trick is to find a safe way through the level and avoid all of the crushing, impaling or otherwise dangerous obstacles.

By pushing the thumb stick left or right, you not only open the cage, you can also switch air cannons that force your bird to change direction on or off. These air cannons are not the only things you can manipulate. Sometimes, a spiked cage will be in your way. You can open them, so the bird can safely pass through it without dying from impalement.

Green Game: Timeswapper is an easy to learn but hard to master game. It becomes increasingly more difficult with each level you complete. I was often very happy just to get my bird to the other end of the level alive and in one piece, and didn't even bother with collecting the three coins. Luckily, you can replay the levels as many times as you like, so you can always come back and give it another try to get the coins.

The full game will offer 50 levels for you to complete; each level offering more than one way to getting your bird through safely. The nice-looking green/black environment, supported by a jazz inspired soundtrack, makes the Green Game: Timeswapper an attractive game to play. For everyone who has a Steam account or an iOS device, this really is a fun and challenging puzzle game to play and enjoy!
