I don't know if it is because I grew up on and around a ship, but every time I see a big cruise ship I can't help but feeling that I want to take a cruise sometimes. But what's this? My next game adventure is on one of those amazing luxury cruise ships? Woohoo!

It's time to take the role of the one and only, beautiful and intelligent Jill Valentine. And yes, this Resident Evil Story takes place at a great luxury ship called Queen Zenobia. To be honest, I already know where this is going, because this game was originally released in 2012 for Nintendo 3DS. In 2013 Resident Evil Revelations ported to PS3 and Xbox 360 in HD. And now again this game found its way to current consoles; from August 29, 2017 this game is available for every PS4 and Xbox One owner out there.

Now, I never played the actual 3DS version, but the PS3 version stands proudly in our game rack. I remember I was so happy playing this game for the first time; a Resident Evil game with Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield together again. The first Revelations game offers a story with some well known characters as well a couple of new characters. I personally like Parker Luciani, who accompanies Jill most of the time. He's part of the BSAA, makes a lot of jokes and is always aware of the greater good.

You'll start the game as Jill Valentine as she enters the grand dame of the high seas, the cruise ship Queen Zenobia, together with Parker Luciani. This is the last known location of Chris Redfield after he and Jessica Sherawat went missing. Jessica and Parker are partners, just as Chris and Jill. The Queen Zenobia is really a beautiful ship, especially when you enter the guest areas.

There will be a lot of back tracking in this game so collecting maps is no unnecessary luxury. Another collectible in this game is scanning remains of enemies, which gets more difficult as you progress through the game. Scanning the remains of an opponent is easier when it stays at the floor, instead of dissolving. You can also scan enemies, when they are alive, but they will attack you, so it can be tricky. But the reward is great. When you collect enough material, you will receive a health item. And through scanning you might discover some other hidden stuff too, just saying.

Capcom is brilliant when it comes to write Resident Evil stories and Revelations is no exception. Again the world is in great danger because of the evil and conspiracy. A group called Veltro seems to be the source of all evil, but as always there's more behind this story then simply pointing a finger at the bad guy. I love how you will take role of more than one character and unravel more and more of the whole story. But hey, where do you think Resident Evil Revelations got its name?

Apart from the single player campaign, there is also the raid mode where you can team up with other players and enter maps of scenes and episodes of Resident Evil Revelations again, facing randomly selected enemies. You'll start as a level one character and while playing one chapter after another you will level up, gather more weapons and other awesome stuff to make your raids more easy. You can choose to clear those maps by yourself, set up a private coop match with a friend or open your coop game for any player online.

Resident Evil Revelations for PS4 and Xbox One comes with the all DLC. That means the Weapon Pack Resistance Set and the Enhancement Set and also two Raid Mode Costumes Rachael Ooze and Lady Hunk are yours, right from the start. Nice, huh? If you didn't have the chance to play Resident Evil Revelations , this is an awesome way to catch up. And for all the Resident Evil fans it will be a nice addition to their collection. I'll give you one of the best reasons for playing this game right now: 'Mayday.. Maaydaay, this is the com officer...'
