Alright! alright! coming through! Make way, Doctor coming through you scaredy cats! Until Dawn: Rush of Blood... now doesn't that sound... exciting?! Another VR game in the free section of PsPlus+. And I mean come on; we all know how much I love horror...

Right off the bat!
Putting on the VR headset and starting up this game, you immediately find yourself in a mine cart on a rail that goes through some sort of asylum, yay... It is here that you meet a crazy doctor. (heh, not half as crazy as me, though) This man gives you some sort of injection that makes you pass out. And when you wake up again, you find yourself in some sort of carnival attraction. If there is one thing this game does absolutely right, it's the immersion of the player into the game. Just like the first Until Dawn game, only in a slightly different way.

Loop-de-loop
Sitting in this mine cart-like rollercoaster it actually feels like you're moving, first learning how to dodge stuff that is thrown at you, shooting balloons and boxes with your pea-shooter using the move-controllers. Eventually, you stop at a big mansion with the carnival-like letters atop of a clown's head that read:"Rush of Blood". At that point you realize.. that all that.. was just... the tutorial?? *gulp*

We're all mad here...
Starting the real game, that crazy doctor is now a carnival-master and he promises you the ride of your life! And you know what? Something made me believe him... Getting real guns makes you feel like Rambo himself right until the point when you meet your first enemies. Needless to say, they didn't scare me at all. ahem, moving on! And right when you think the worst has happened already, there's a well placed jump-scare or boss you need to take care of. Really well designed and challenging. Did I mention the fact that everything seems as real as real life? Beautiful!

Until Dawn
Rush of Blood is a chapter based game. Beat a level? go back to the mansion and select the next joy-ride through a landscape filled with monsters, ghosts, spiders and more. Best thing is, all of the levels have some original Until Dawn moments, scenery or monsters in them! So if you played Until Dawn, there will be a lot of stuff in there that you are bound to recognize!

Could this thing go any faster?
When I first started playing this game, the jump-scares really got me. They actually made me stop playing... but there's just something about this game that keeps me coming back for more. As good as the horror experience might be, the action aspect of the game is even better! Whenever I put down my VR headset, not long after I wanted to put it on again and give Rush of Blood another go! I just had the strangest craving for destroying some monsters!! The adrenaline, the feel-good factor you get from treating creepy clowns to a well-placed headshot; everything about this game just feels right somehow! And that is why it leaves wanting more, more, more. (and it's not even the midnight hour... go figure!)

So, do you own a Playstation VR headset? And are you as mighty and fearless as I am? Yes and no? Well, no worries! This games makes you like the horror. It's the game you want to see your friends try! It's a good laugh, a nice action game and a fantastic horror experience. And you know what the best part of all this is right now? It's completely free in the PsPlus+ this month!

Alright, I'm going to check up on those clowns I hurt... I mean, I'm a doctor after all!
