The sweet people at DumeeGamer.com asked me to write a short bio (400 words or more) about what we do and who we are. Well we do love homework at Geecu... no really, we do! So here goes nothing.Geecu stands for Geek culture, but as that is way to long for a domain name we shorten it to the hipster term Geecu [geek-u]. We currently service the Netherlands and Belgium but we do have plans for world domination lying around somewhere.

We started in August, so you can say we are still in the infant state, but growing up rapidly.

So, what do we sell? Well our aim is to have the broadest assortment of geek stuff as humanly possible. Anything from clothes, to doormats, from Gaming chairs to Larp accessories.

You can literary buy an emoji pillow and an authentic English Longbow at Geecu. Now, we don't have everything we want to have yet, but we are working on it.

[162 words down] Damn, this is harder than it looks...

Oh well, more room to talk about why we are really here. The Gamebox. In the last month we have added board & card games to our selection of awesome products and met some wonderful people in the analogue game industry which gave rise to an idea that had been running through our minds for a while now.

This idea became the Gamebox, a surprise "loot" box filled with games and games related stuff.

We came up with three varieties for your gaming pleasure:
. Gamebox Family
. Gamebox Complete
. Gamebox Deluxe

All the boxes come with at least one game, a T-shirt which, if possible, will be game related, some goodies and extra content such as discounts for products and events.

Gamebox Family
If you have kids, then you know how hard it to pry them away from screens, these days. We found that a good analogue game will do just that. They games sold in most toy stores are simple, boring, end-up-on-some-forgotten-shelf games. But there are great games out there, not just for the kids, but also for the parents. I could list some here, but that would be cheating the word count, and I'm not gonna do that. Although, talking about the word count also eats up words, so...

Gamebox Complete
Kids or no kids, if you are into playing board/card-games on a regular basis that the Complete box is something for you. It caters to the mature audience with seriously good indie games. High quality produced games that you will not find in the regular stores but that are made by players for players.

Well would you look at that. Made it to 400 words and I'm not even done yet!

Gamebox Deluxe
Okay, you're a fanatic player and one game is just not enough for you? For you we have the deluxe box. You'll get 2 games instead of one. This can be 2 base games or a base game and expansion. Plus, all the good stuff all the boxes have.

Now, I can hear you thinking: "Great idea but I don't play that often."

Well, if getting a box every month seems a bit much, then we have 2 solutions for you. You can get a separate box. Just get it whenever you want it or go for the quarterly subscription and get a box every 3 month.

As I said, way up on the page, we currently only service the Netherlands and Belgium, but for the Gameboxes we are working on bringing it to international audiences. We currently have a Kickstarter campaign running for this, so if you are interested in the Gameboxes and not a resident of the lowlands I would suggest checking it out. The Kickstarter ends December 15th.

Just over 600 words, my lit-teacher would be proud. If you made it all the way down here, thanks for sticking with it. I know it ain't Shakespeare, but I tried, didn't I? Your attention is much appreciated and don't forget to check out the links below.
