If you have a sign with the slogan "Let's play together" next to your stand, you definitely have my attention. Sunny Games really stands out during the fair with this sign and slogan. So, naturally I wanted to check things out!

Their goal is to create games where players are not competing against each other, but working together. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, Sunny Games develops and publishes cooperative games. They have a big assortment for both younger players and adults. For the publishing part they work together with developers and buy the rights so they can tweak the art style where needed in order to better match the premise of the game and the game's targeted audience. That way, they are allowed to make any changes if necessary. You can buy the games at specialized shops and during board game fairs whenever they are present. Check out their website to search for a store in your neighborhood.

I'd like to spotlight two of their games. The first one is called Princess. A princess is under a spell and she's been asleep for hundred years. You and your party need to save her. During your quest, there will be lots of obstacles like dark tunnels and guards, so you need to work together to save the princess in time because it's getting darker and darker...

Another one of their games I feel I really need to highlight, is a game called Max the Cat. It's hard to overlook it during the fair, because the play field has a big tree in the middle. This is, of course, especially made for game fairs so they can display the game better. When you buy the game, there will be a tree in the middle of the board, but is a more manageable size for your kitchen table. So, back to the story of the game. Max the Cat is actually the bad guy in this game. The players take role of a bird, a mouse and a squirrel. They need to get to their little houses, which are high up in the tree. But Max the Cat is hungry, so he is going to chase them whenever he can. The players have to work together to bring all the little animals to the safety of their respective houses.

So, after playing a couple of their games, I can only come to one conclusion: If you like cooperative games, Sunny Games is definitely the place to be!
