I just love going online and playing games together with other gamers from around the globe. And as fun as coop games can be, sometimes I like a good match; teams battling against each other to see who will come out victorious! When I heard about Velan Studios and EA's upcoming title Knockout City I knew immediately, that it would be something for me. I mean, it's dodgeball! What's not to like?
TONY HAWK'S PRO SKATER 1 + 2
How do you remake a game that's spent 20 years at the pinnacle of what this industry has to offer? I mean, the original Pro Skater 2 isn't just considered as one of the greatest skateboarding/sport games ever made; it's literally amongst the top three highest-rated video games of all time on Metacritic. You'd probably be better off cutting your losses and photocopying Starry Night at this point, right?
KINGDOM HEARTS: MELODY OF MEMORY
I've got something fun here, or at least I think it will be fun. I'm going to review Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory. As a true Disney fan, I've played Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 on PlayStation 2, but I was never able to complete them. Man, those were some tough games! But I do rock the Guitar Hero games (see what I did there?), so that it might work in my favor. And why is that you might ask yourself? Well, because Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory is in fact a rhythm game!
NEED FOR SPEED: HOT PURSUIT REMASTERED
Back in the 90's, when I was still a teenager, going on 20, we had the first PlayStation in our home, which I used extensively to play a racing game called Need for Speed Hot Pursuit. Now mind you, this was a long time ago so I won't remember every little detail anymore, but what I do remember how cool it was to race in an awesome car and escape from the police!
This year has been full of awesome race games and now there's one more to add to the roster. I played an awful lot of racing games over the last few months and I loved them all. And believe me when I tell you that Dirt 5 is no exception to this rule! Made and published by race game veterans Codemasters, Dirt 5 does not disappoint!
The roar of the crowd in the stadium, chants serenading the crowd favourites playing in the team and players celebrating goals with the fans! All of these things are things you won't see in real life right now, but you can actually see them in Fifa 21! Yes, Fifa is back with its latest installment (with fans in the stadiums), so I'm here to give you the run-down on a couple of the new features in the game and to give my opinion on them.
Ride 4 is a motorcycle race game made by the racing game adepts at Milestone. The game launched October fifth, so if you like what you hear during the following review, don't hesitate to pick it up right now! Ride 4 is available on Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4.
SURGEON SIMULATOR 2
Sometimes you see a title and you are not sure what to expect, but you hear yourself think: "Hey, just for the hell of it, let's play it!" This was also the case with Surgeon Simulator 2. Plus, the first Surgeon Simulator was one of those titles I already saw a couple of times while watching streamers/Youtubers playing it and having lots of fun. So here we go, on my journey to become world's best doctor starts here!
Now, what could possibly be more fun than racing fast cars? Exactly! Racing fast cars on dirt and snow! World Rally Championship 9, developed by Kylotonn and published by Bigben Interactive, lets you do just that! So, did they manage to recreate the fast paced and aggressive racing called rallying? Let's find out!
So, seemingly out of nowhere, this new game called Fall Guys burst onto the scene on PC and PS4 and more people started playing and loving the game every single day that went by since. With it's funny looking cartoon-like style graphics and a collection of quick mini-games that pretty much anyone can win, it's not hard to see why this game appeals to this huge player-base.
First of all, let me start by saying that I'm not a professional online race driver. I do need some help staying on the track at times. If I would turn on the professional mode, I would probably die on turn one. This, ladies and gentlemen, is my way of letting every one of you know that, even if you're no F1 hero, you can still get in the driver's seat of one of these superfast cars and have an absolute blast. I just thought I'd let you know... you know?
Now, I have done a fair share of arts and crafts in my time, but never before have I built a car out of cardboard, put in an engine and battery and used said vehicle to smash other cardboard cars into tiny pieces. Yet this is exactly what seems to have happened here. Let's buckle our proverbial seatbelts and get busy with Concept Destruction!
The start of the new season is upon us, so it's time for me, athletic as I am, to put on the kit, tie those shoelaces and get out on the pitch! Yes, ladies and gents, boys and girls, sportsfans of all ages; FIFA 20 is here!
CRASH TEAM RACING NITRO-FUELED
Back in the year 1999, Naughty Dog released a fourth title in the Crash Bandicoot franchise, Crash Team Racing (CTR). At that moment in time, many developers tried to compete with the all mighty Mario Kart but none of their games really came close to the perfection that was Nintendo's battle racing blockbuster... except for this one!
It's summer once again, so it's about time for another installment in the F1 game series. F1 2019 hit our mailbox just in time for last weekend. That means we can give you all the ins and outs about this game, before the release date. So, let's put the pedal to the metal and let's go fast!
I was just minding my own business on a random afternoon when, suddenly, I get a text from Lady DumeeGamer herself, saying: "Tom, you own a Nintendo Switch, right? And you like fighting games right?" So I replied with a double yes and before I even knew it I was playing Boxing Champs!
TABLE TOP RACING: WORLD TOUR - NITRO EDITION
Now here's a blast from the past! Waaaay back in January of 2013, British developer Playrise Digital launched a game called Table Top Racing for iOS, which was followed by an android version of the game a year later. In August of 2014, the game was ported to the Playstation Vita and made gamers from around the world race their miniature cars across all sorts of cool levels to their hearts content. Now, almost five years later, Table Top Racing is back!
MORTAL KOMBAT 11
Mortal Kombat is back and I'm Ready... Set... GO! to get back in the game and perform some gruesome fatalities! The franchise releases its first game in 4 years and just the announcement of the release got everybody excited! Luckily, I had the opportunity to get the game prior to its release and be one of the firsts to play the glorious violent masterpiece that is Mortal Kombat 11!
GRIP: COMBAT RACING
Let's take a trip down memory lane, shall we? Once upon a time, in the year 1993, something very strange happened in the gaming industry. Now, there had been racing games up to that point in time, but these were mostly simple "who can complete the track the fastest" kind of games. There were a few games that added an element of combat, like the 1983 Spy Hunter game, but no game ever managed to truly capture the essence of vehicular combat. Until 1993, that is...
ULTRA SPACE BATTLE BRAWL
Are you up for an 80's arcade style fighting game? No, I am not talking about Street Fighter II, but about Ultra Space Battle Brawl! Where old-school Japanese pixel art meets one of the oldest games of all time: Pong! You might have some doubts about this combo, but believe me when I say it might surprise you!
IF YOU SMELLLLLLLLLLLLL WHAT THE (B)ROCK IS COOKING! Hi again dear readers, it's ya boy again. And I'm back to talk about my favourite game series that gets a release every year: WWE! As some of you might know, I am a huge wrestling fan, so I always look forward to getting my hands on the new WWE 2K game when it comes around. So let's dive right into it with a flying clothesline!
The smell of a freshly mowed pitch, the sound of thousands of screaming fans in the stands and the look of sheer and utter ego on the face of Cristiano Ronaldo. Put together, this can only mean one thing... FIFA is back, baby!
Ever since I was growing up, I had a love for anything with an engine in it. It probably had to do with the fact I grew up as a girl among boys. I still prefer an RC car over Barbie and her pink cabriolet. So The chance to write a review about a new F1 game is an exciting moment for me!
THE CREW 2
Ever since I played the beta-release of The Crew 2, I was looking forward to see and play much, much more of it. Man, this game is such an adrenaline ride; the boats, the planes, the cars!!! All pure motorized awesomeness! Because of this, last Friday was a very good day! The moment was finally there; I could finally play the full release of The Crew 2. So fasten your seatbelts and get Ready... Set... GO! to go really, really fast!
BURNIN' RUBBER 5 HD
I love the smell of burning rubber in the morning! And that's great because I am going to review Burnin' Rubber 5 HD. Now, normally the term "burnin' rubber" is used to describe driving at breakneck speed, but in the case of this game, the rubber on your car can actually be on fire... as a result of a rocket impact! So put your pedal to the metal and hold on tight... here we go!
NEED FOR SPEED: PAYBACK
Feel the need for m%thaf#ck$ng speed! It's payback time. For what? I don't know! but it's about to go down. NFS is back and it got longtime fans hyped. So why are people still so excited over yet another installment of Need for Speed? Let's find out!
So, here we are! New season, new review. It almost sounds like I'm obliged to do this, but believe me, I'm not. It's Fifa time everybody! Get your balls Ready... Set... GO! to score today! I'm sorry, should have chosen my words a bit more carefully there...
CARS 3: DRIVEN TO WIN
Is it your dream to go really fast all the time? Or is performing car stunts more your oily cup of tea? Or do you get your kicks from car battles? Well, whatever your preference, the latest addition in the Cars series is right up your alley! So buckle up, put the pedal to the metal and race into action with Cars 3: Driven to Win!
Last February, I visited the Screenshake event in Belgium. One of the games I saw that day was a Splitscreen Arcade Arena Combat game called Hoverloop by Belgian developer, Not a Company. Let's take a look at how the developers have spent their time since February, shall we?
Oh man, I have waited for so long to play this game! So, as soon as I got my copy I immediately started playing. I couldn't wait to, once again, jump into the life of Batman and also play as my friends the Joker, Scarecrow, the Flash, Deadshot and of course my wife Harley Quinn. (I don't care what anyone says, she is my wife!)
MARIO KART 8 DELUXE
After playing Zelda: Breath of the Wild for multiple hours during the course of the past weeks it was time to try a new Switch title. And here it is: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe! Let's see if it will hold up to my expectation of a true Nintendo title!
Right, let's have a show of hands; Who among you likes air hockey? Okay, that's a lot of you. Next question: Who among you likes 16-bit games? Wow, that's even more of you! Well, have we got news for you. Now, you can do both at the same time... by playing Spirit Shere by Eendhoorn Games!
WWE 2K17 is always a big release for me and it just has to deliver! So naturally, my expectations weren't easy to fulfill. Luckily, 2K (who is well underway to becoming my favorite game developer), did what they do best nowadays: deliver.
Ahh FIFA; the game that I love, but also the game that, from time to time, can make me want to throw a brick through my window.
No but seriously, if anyone wants to donate money for a new window, hit me up.
No but seriously, I really need it.
No but seriously, FIFA always divides opinions, but that's where I come in to bring you the opinion to top all opinions!
Tom "El Diablo" Brock is a man of many rare talents, one of which has to do with getting a ball through a hoop from a large distance. So we thought he would be the best choice when it came to reviewing 2K's latest sporting game: NBA 2K17.
Sometimes you see a title of an upcoming game and you just know you have to play that one. Well, that was the feeling I had, when I first heard about Snow Horse. It’s a snowboard game but, and here's the kicker, the snowboarder is a horse!
Haven’t we all thought about what football would be like if it would have been played in cars? Of course we have! And haven’t we all thought of those cars being able to drive into each other at full speed, making the other car explode? And being able to fly with your car when you jump in it while using your turbo?
A new member has just joined our awesome DumeeGamer.com crew! His name is Tom Brock, and he shall henceforth be referred to as "El Diablo". For his Inaugural review, he chose to write about a game that he has played for hours on end, without so much as breaking a sweat. Get Ready... Set... GO! to rumble!
Imagine this; you’re old enough for people to call you grandma or grandpa and, unfortunately, Death visits you to tell you your time on this Earth is up. That would be... well, not so awesome. But instead of accepting this fate, a couple of the golden oldies decide to give themselves a fighting chance.
As some of you might alReady... Set... GO! know, I’m not that good at racing games. So naturally, I had my reservations about playing Trackmania Turbo. But, after seeing the pure awesomness of the tracks and the high-speed mayhem that ensues, I was actually kind of curious, so I decided to play it anyway. And boy, am I glad I did!
WRC 5: FIA WORLD RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP 2015
The official game of the FIA World Rally Championship tests your skills as a driver to the very limit. So buckle up, hit the gas and let your engines roar! Oh, and don't forget to brake now an again...
BLOOD BOWL II
Who's up for a game of Blood Bowl? What, you'd rather play a game of normal football? No broken bones, no dead players?! Where's the fun in that?! No sir, not me! I love the smell of blood in the morning!
It's a well-known fact that you really need balls to play some games. Sometimes, this is meant figuratively, but in this case, it's to be taken literally. Because without balls, you'd just have 22 people running around on a field, and that would look stupid. So let's all grab our balls and play some PES 2016!
Aah, the smell of burnt rubber, the sounds of a roaring engine and the wind in your hair... ehm... around your helmet. Do I need to say more? It’s MotoGP 15 time!
ULTRA STREET FIGHTER IV
The ultimate version of the world’s greatest fighting game has appeared exclusively for the PS4. It's not quite as good as the original though, which really is too bad. Especially since it's loaded with DLC costumes and the promise to be the official game of the Capcom Pro Tour. USFIV for the PS4 was to replace the previous versions at some of the bigger events like EVO 2015 and the previously mentioned Capcom Pro Tour, but for now they have switched back to the last-gen consoles... and for good reason.
Finally! A new installment in the Carmageddon series. So let's get busy with an action-packed vehicular free-for-all in which destroying your opponents and hitting pedestrians were your two main goals. You could try to win a race by blazing through checkpoints, but hell, who would want that when there's tons of wanton destruction to be had?!
MORTAL KOMBAT X
Another disputable entry in The Wide World Of Sports! To be or not to be... a sport, that's the question! We at DumeeGamer reckon it is actually a sport. It's just like Karate, only with more blood, more severed limbs and more violent deaths, but basically the same. So limber up and get Ready... Set... GO! for a round of Mortal Kombat X!
DRAGON BALL Z: XENOVERSE
Now, we know some of you might not agree with our choice of putting this game in this category. First off, that's the beauty of having your own website, you can basically do whatever you want. And secondly, there are those who would agree with our reasoning that Dragon Ball Z is a sport... A fighting sport!
KINGS OF KUNG FU
It's good to be the king, everybody knows that. But do you know what's even better than being the king...? Being the KING OF KUNG FU of course! (unless you're Elvis Presley, then you're alReady... Set... GO! cool enough as it is...)
ROLLERS OF THE REALM
Rollers of the Realm is a great pinball/RPG game. No, don’t worry, there’s nothing wrong with your eyes. You read it right; a pinball/RPG game. If you like these two genres, then this is a game for you.
MARIO KART 8
It’s been six months since the release of Mario Kart 8. Time to see how cool this game really is and how much the newly released DLC really adds to this game!
You take a kitchen table, some miniature cars armed to the teeth and let them fight it out. What would you get? Banged up miniature cars and a well-worn kitchen table?! Not quite... You’d get Tabletop Racing!
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to tear up the track at a MotoGP course? Or have you always been satisfied not trying this, because you know it's likely going to be a crash course?
2014 FIFA WORLD CUP BRASIL
Let’s play some soccer. As a child I played soccer and was not very good at it. The video game variant never caught my attention. Why would I play a video game, where playing a game of soccer is your one and only objective? But then 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil came along...
