KIRBY'S EPIC YARN
By Diana "DumeeGamer" Dumee on May 5, 2014
This game is a special cup of tea. As soon as the game starts you'll notice that everything in the game is made of fabric and yarn. It gives everything a soft and sweet appearance. Even Kirby is made out of Yarn.
The story starts on a sunny day. Kirby is hungry and eats a tomato belonging to the evil sorcerer Yin-Yarn. Because he ate the tomato he's banished into Patch Land. He soon meets prince Fluff who asks Kirby to help him. He must find seven magic yarns to stitch the parts of Patch land together.
A new adventure means new powers for Kirby. He can transform into a car, a dolphin, a parachute and some other stuff at certain points in the game. Sometimes it's necessary and sometimes it's to get to tricky parts to collect some treasures.
You have a kind of lasso option, which you can use to tear down patches of fabric to uncover hidden passages or treasures or open zippers. It's also used to swing from one point to another and you can use it to defeat enemies with.
There's nothing not to like about this game. Kirby is great, the land made of fabric is fantastic and the controls fluid. What I especially liked about this game is that you get your own apartment, which you can decorate. Wallpaper and carpeting, but also furniture and toys. You can buy stuff or collect items throughout the different stages. Because there's so much to collect, it's useful to replay levels.
In the apartment building more and more residents are moving in. In their apartment you'll see empty shapes. If you find the needed objects, you'll make them happy and you earn extra money.
One of the parts I liked best in this game had to be when I transformed into a big Kirby-tank. No enemies could escape; I shot them or drove right over them. I felt unbeatable!
There's nothing left to say, Kirby's Epic Yarn is a fantastic game. It's really worth your time. If you're a first hour fan, you won't be disappointed. All the good stuff is there along with some new cool features. This game is really pretty in pink!
