TURTLE POP: JOURNEY TO FREEDOM

Although I love all my adventure, shooter and horror games, I'm also a huge fan of happy and colorful games. So when I saw the trailer of Turtle Pop: Journey to Freedom, filled to the brim with colors, sparkles and cuteness, I immediately knew that I needed to play this game!
As I start the game, I'm immediately introduced to Sparky the Turtle. Sparky has many friends, called Bebo's, which are super cute turtle creatures. But the Bebo's are in distress! They are scattered across several levels and it's up to you to rescue them all. When you enter a level, you assume control of one of the Bebo's that need rescuing. Soon you will discover more of them and need to bring them all to the end of that stage in order to save them. You can control every one of these tiny by switching between them, or you can link them as a group, so you can move all the Bebo's at once.
If you do a really good job you'll be rewarded with treasure chests. In these treasure chests, you will find moon pearls, sun coins and cards. The first card I found was a farm card. A farm card supplies food and this can be a big help. The first thing I could produce was a watermelon, which restores your health and allows you to jump higher for a short duration of time. You can upgrade your farm with sun coins, so you'll be able to produce different kinds of food. Besides the Farm, there are more cards to add to your collection, which always offer you a certain advantage. When completing levels you can earn up to three stars per level, depending on how many turtles you saved in that particular level. For every 10 stars you collect, you will receive a star chest, which also contains more sun coins, moon pearls and cards. Sparky the Turtle will exchange those moon pearls for special cards from his own private collection.
But if all of this doesn't help you enough, or you want to share this happy adventure, bring in your friend! This game offers a campaign mode which allows two players work together and complete the campaign stages. And if you have more than two friends, you can always enter the multiplayer modes. Enter the battle arena and wear the crown the longest in Crown Thief or lick, color and free the most turtles in Lick 'em Up. You can even battle your friends split-screen style in the Turtle Clash mode! Whatever you choose, there is more than enough content in this game to keep you occupied for a very long time.
Turtle Pop: Journey to Freedom is a colorful and cute looking platform game, but it is also a tough nut to crack. You need to keep an eye out for a lot of things. If one of the turtles you're supposed to save dies, you need to restart a level, because the game adheres to a strict "no one is left behind" policy. During the game, a turtle in a balloon named Genie can assist you by dropping certain items. Genie can drop a watermelon on a turtle to restore its health, but it can also drop bombs or move objects so you can continue on your merry way. You need to toggle through those items quickly to use the right one at the right time, because if you mix them up it will not end well for the turtle in question. So in short; save every turtle and make it through to the end of the level.
I had an absolute blast playing this game. It's colorful, it's challenging and above all; the creatures look very cute! You can play this game on your own or together with a friend. I can only say that Turtle Pop: Journey to Freedom is truly a platform paradise!
